Sophia was very willing to help Mom and Gramma open presents!

Sophia has warmed up to the musical octopus that Grandma-in-the-woods sent her for her birthday and has enjoyed carrying it around by it's handle and occasionally tosses it across the room (testing her strength maybe).

Sophia has been able to stand on her own for a while now, but only seems to do so when she is distracted. As soon as she realizes that she is standing, she either sits down or grabs something nearby for support.
Due to Sophia's overly excited, gleeful shrieks when the kitties are in sight, they have taken to hiding in the basement or under the couch when she is awake. She has been very sad to lose her play buddies and hopefully they will come around to play again.
Sophia is extra excited to see the kitties when they do appear. She loves to snuggle by laying her head down on them. Cupid has started coming out in the open briefly in the past few days and is of course rewarded with treats. Sophia looks like she is seeing a long-lost friend whenever she gets a glimpse of her kitties.

Every few steps, Sophia turns around to admire her progress.

Now that Sophia can climb the stairs, she tries to climb onto everything. She's not quite as tall as she seems to think. She has not made it up onto the coffee table yet.
