6 months old

Sophia is getting pretty good at sitting up, but still needs the Boppy pillow behind her to help balance. Depending on what's around her, she dives to reach something and can come crashing to the floor/bed that she's sitting on.
Sophia loves chewing on her keys. The tongue is almost always out.
Sophia has now started (sometimes) smiling for the camera! Here she was having fun sitting on the bed with Daddy and playing with her jingle bear from Gramma-in-the-Woods.
Fun in the Exersaucer! This genius invention provides lots of entertainment and exercise.
Sophia still loves looking at herself in the mirror. She thought that she looked particularly good today.
This baby is so cute, she deserves a kiss! Sophia was playing on her tummy and kept looking at herself and then bending down to kiss her reflection in the mirror.
On Friday, we flew out to Chicago for Erika's wedding. She was a very good girl on the plane again, besides filling up her diaper just as the plane started to pull away from the gate in Boston. We got through a diaper change on our seats without tears. Sophia didn't mind and the man sitting in the seat next to us pretended to be asleep, so we hope he wasn't too grossed out. Sophia thought the big bed was a lot of fun! She sat and supervised while we got dressed.
So much fun sitting on this big bed with a colorful blanket to eat!
The wedding was beautiful!
Sophia slept up until the vows were about to start. I guess she figured that since she slept through Auntie Christine's wedding, she'd better wake up and enjoy this one. She was perfectly quite the whole time, which was a relief since I was ready to run her out at the first peep.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Klingenmaier!
We had a lot of fun at the reception. Sophia got a little fussy as the night wore on, but she had some oatmeal in her high chair and then took a nap in her stroller while Mommy and Daddy caught up with old friends!

After a long, screaming ride back to the hotel (sorry Kellie), Sophia calmed down in a bath. Too bad there were crazy hotel guests running around in the hall and banging on doors. At least they only woke up Mommy and Daddy- once Sophia fell asleep at 1 am, she was so exhausted that she didn't hear anything! She did well on the plane ride home Saturday night too. It might have been a bit too much excitement, or maybe she caught a virus from someone, because we missed Uncle Michael's college graduation Sunday morning because Sophia threw up her breakfast. After a day of resting, she's all better now.
