7 months old

Where has the time gone? Sophia is already 7 months old and cut her first tooth this week. Hopefully this has been what has been keeping her (and Mommy) up at night. Neither of us have slept through the night in 5 weeks- first from Sophia's cold that took a long time to go away completely and then possibly from teething. We are praying that now that the tooth is through we can go back to sleeping as well as she was before (usually almost 12 hours). Lately she has been waking up every couple hours.
However, we have still had some fun days even without a full night's sleep! Sophia loves to eat and is enjoying trying new foods. We also took another trip to Cape Cod and have enjoyed spending time outside in the beautiful end of summer/ beginning of fall New England weather.

Sophia has gotten very good at scooting (so far she can only go backwards) and doesn't always stay where she's put down. She started on her playmat here and did a backwards semicircle around the living room to end up next to the mat. Time to start babyproofing!

Sophia is now a champion sitter and loves playing on Mom and Dad's bed. She still doesn't always put her hands out to catch herself and has to sit with someone and some pillows when we play on the floor.

Fun times with Auntie Christine. Sophia loves chewing on her keys- one of her favorite teething toys. She cut her first tooth yesterday which may be why she has been fussy and not sleeping well lately. Let's hope things get back to normal soon!

During our second visit to the Cape, both Great-Grampa and Great-Gramma got to hold Sophia! Sophia discovered that Great-Grampa has lots of fun things to play with- here she has his watch and earlier she had fun pulling things out of his shirt pocket.
