Sophia has discovered that her hands can be very useful- especially for holding her pacifier in place and pushing it back into her mouth when it falls out. (They also seem to taste pretty good.) Here she is snuggled up with Mom in our Ergo baby carrier.
Our biggest news this week is that Sophia is now sleeping in her crib in her own room. She has grown too big for her bassinet and after a few difficult nights, she is now sleeping well in her crib. She regularly sleeps about 8 hours at night, which is great for everyone, especially Mom! She has also been smiling and laughing a lot more- raspberries on the tummy are a particular favorite, but she also likes just looking at Mommy and Daddy and talking, smiling and laughing.
Sophia is also becoming more interested in her toys. The tiger on her bouncy seat/swing is pretty good at staring contests, but she does her best to hold her own. Uncle Michael has been very impressed at how long she goes with out blinking- there's just too many interesting things around to look at!
We just figured out how to take short videos with the camera and were testing it out while Sophia was playing on Gramma's couch. She is very fascinated with her fist and enjoys waving it around for everyone to look at. You can hear a bit of the Red Sox game in the background- Gramma was explaining the game to Sophia while they rocked during the game.
