We had a great girls weekend in Christmas Cove, Maine! Sophia, Hannah, Gramma, Dot, Christine and I had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend away. Unfortunately, we found out that Hannah is not a car trip baby- she cried for most of the time that she was in the car on the drive up on Friday and again on the drive home Sunday. :( Thanks Auntie Christine for enduing the crying to keep me company in the car.
Sophia is going through a "don't take my picture" phase, so she has her head down to hide her face.
Dinner on the way home Sunday- Sophia had her first taste of lobster and loved it! She loved dipping it in butter so much that she tried to dip her french fries in butter also (we didn't let her)!

Sophia was a little unsure of the sand when we first go to the beach. Gramma and Dot soon convinced her to explore.
The first thing Sophia did when we got to the beach was to find a rock to sit on and see what was in her bag. She of course found her snack- gotta fuel up for a good wade in the ocean!

Sophia's art lesson with Dot- I have very fond memories of art lessons from Dot when I was little and so it was extra special to see Sophia enjoying drawing with Dot and talking about colors!
