8 months old

Sophia had lots of fun hanging out with her great-grandparents and will miss them now that they have gone back to Florida. We all had fun at Great-Grampa's 80th birthday this Saturday!




Sophia enjoyed playing with cousin Chelsey's beaded necklaces. This is exactly why Mommy doesn't wear jewelry anymore.
Since we knew it was going to be a long night for Sophia, we brough along her dancing chicken. Here she was showing Gramma how she can do the chicken dance.
Getting sleepy, but still up and ready to play.
Daddy found the perfect teething snack- yummy, crunchy celery. Fresh crunchy veggies are always a good snack for any age. :)
Sophia enjoyed hanging out with Uncle Michael for much of the party.

The past 2 messy baby playgroups have included pudding cups and breadcrumbs. Nice to have messy play when we're not at home! All Mommy has to clean up is Sophia.


Who needs a stroller? Sophia's graduating right to the scooter.
Sophia's first Halloween costume. We got a little lobster costume but ended up returning it for an even better (and warmer) one that Gramma bought while she was spending a weekend in Maine. We had to take some photos on the beach before returning this one though. :)


Axel's gotten back into a hockey league after a brief 8 year hiatus and he's already grooming Sophia to follow in his footsteps. I think the pants are a little big for now.

Very patient kitties!

Treat for the kitties after they endure Sophia's loving play/torture. She always seems to think they are for her.
Sophia has been enjoying finger foods- so far she's had Gerber puffs and Rice Crispies cereal. She's getting to be a pro at picking up the cereal and getting it right into her mouth.
Even though she can roll over and maneuver on her tummy, Sophia still keeps trying to work on her crunches.
